Jacob Moon is bringing the timeless music of Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow to life with Classic Troubadours Coming April 16 Showplace Ptbo.

Jacob Moon is bringing the timeless music of Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow to life with Classic Troubadours: The Songs of Stevie Nicks & Sheryl Crow, making a highly anticipated stop at Peterborough’s Showplace Performance Centre on April 16. With a powerhouse ensemble, Moon reimagines the most iconic hits from two of music’s most legendary singer-songwriters, delivering a night filled with soaring vocals, intricate musicianship, and deep nostalgia.

With a new album (Troubadours Vol. 1), a fresh single (James Taylor’s Shower the People), and a track record of sold-out shows, Jacob Moon is an artist who knows how to honour the greats while making each performance his own.

Kitchener, Ontario-Born, Hamilton, Ontario-Based Singer-Songwriter Jacob Moon Honors Icons With Two Distinct Troubadour Concert Tours:

Classic Troubadours Live: The Songs of James, Joni, Jackson & Carole And Classic Troubadours: The Songs of Stevie Nicks & Sheryl Crow

The works of legendary singer-songwriters such as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and Carole King are eternal. Other musicians, such as Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow, are also in the upper tiers of iconic artists. Unfortunately, most of these artists (those still on the road) confine their touring regimens to primarily bigger markets, leaving those in smaller towns out of the loop. Also, given their ages, the chances of seeing one or two of these six are dwindling. Thankfully, Kitchener, Ontario-born and Hamilton-based singer-songwriter Jacob Moon is bringing these musicians' repertoire to life with two distinct concerts: Classic Troubadours Live: The Songs of James, Joni, Jackson & Carole (primarily slated for the Maritimes in late April and early May with one mid-May Ontario stop) and Classic Troubadours: The Songs of Stevie Nicks & Sheryl Crow

(slated for Ontario locales in April with one May concert confirmed).

Classic Troubadours Live: The Songs of James, Joni, Jackson & Carole features a talented ensemble weaving their way through the foursome's timeless tapestries of tunes. Moon will play guitar and sing alongside Oshawa-born, Hamilton-based guitarist and vocalist Alex Whorms, Toronto-born, St. Catharines-based singer Ashley St. Pierre, and vocalist Selena Evangeline (who has performed with Amanda Marshall and Johnny Reid). Rounding out the group is Cambridge, Ontario-born and Toronto-based bassist Mark McIntyre, and drummer Rob Brown. "Join us as we dig into the catalogs of some of the most influential artists of our lifetime, including hits like Taylor's "Fire and Rain," Browne's classic "Running On Empty," Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi" and

King's "You've Got A Friend" (also covered by Taylor)," Moon says.

Classic Troubadours Live: The Songs of James, Joni, Jackson & Carole

makes three stops in Nova Scotia (Liverpool (April 30),

Dartmouth (May 1) and Pictou (May 2)

with

one stop in Summerside, Prince Edward Island (May 4).

A lone Ontario date is scheduled for Wingham's Town Hall Theatre (May 14).

Meanwhile, Moon has also planned a concert series revolving around the discographies of Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow. Classic Troubadours: The Songs of Stevie Nicks & Sheryl Crow features a six-piece ensemble revisiting Nicks' and Crow's remarkable recordings, from Crow's signatures such as "All I Wanna Do" and "If It Makes You Happy" alongside Nicks' staples such as "Landslide" and "Edge of Seventeen." Moon will play guitar and be a backing vocalist, performing with Whorms on vocals and keyboards, vocalist and bassist Annette Haas, vocalist Melissa Marchese,

guitarist Adam Michael, and drummer Mike Cotton.

Classic Troubadours: The Songs of Stevie Nicks & Sheryl Crow will visit six Ontario locations: Meadford (April 2),

Port Colborne (April 4),

Uxbridge (April 12),

Peterborough (April 16),

London (April 25),

and Belleville (May 10).

Jacob Moon is no stranger to honoring music greats in similar concerts. In 2024, he performed The Songs of Sting & Peter Gabriel in select locations, while The Songs of Robbie Robertson & The Band was another similar showcase. These upcoming performances coincide with Moon releasing a new album entitled Troubadours Vol. 1 and a new single, a cover of James Taylor's "Shower The People."

Moon has a rich, illustrious discography and has been lauded by Rush, the late Gordon Lightfoot, and Ron Sexsmith who described the artist as "an exceedingly gifted and watchable performer." Influenced by Sexsmith, Taylor, Browne, Gabriel, and Paul Simon -- and loving prog-rock groups like Yes, Marillion (who he supported on tour) and Rush in his teens -- Moon garnered awards from various International Song Competitions. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Moon has perfected a "live looping" approach which creates a bevy of guitar sounds in concert.

Albums include his 1993 debut On The Trail, 1997 Among The Thieves, 2000's The World I Left Behind, 2003's Landing, 2006's Eventide, 2007's This Christmas and The Loop, 2009's EP entitled Maybe Sunshine, 2013's Fascination. Moon also was part of a side project called The Commissionaires with Joel Parisien, releasing the album Shelter Me in 2016. In 2022 Moon issued another EP called Under A Setting Sun. He has also been nominated for various Hamilton Music Awards, Toronto Independent Music Awards and the GMA Canada Covenant Awards. Moon's intriguing cover of Rush's "Subdivisions," performed to honor the group during the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008, has over 781,000 views on YouTube.

Aside from music, social justice is also central to Moon's core. He's performed several fundraising concerts for organizations such as Compassion Canada, the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, International Justice Mission and for various schools across the country. He has also been featured in various media outlets, including the CBC, The Toronto StarThe Record, and View Magazine

The musician also played many sold-out concerts in 2023 and 2024 at

Hamilton's Westdale Theatre before captive audiences.

Now with two distinct, dynamic, and dream-like performances of some of music's biggest hits the last several decades, look for Jacob Moon to dazzle audiences from Prince Edward Island to Peterborough and beyond.
