Unseen Elvis footage added to World Premier April 28
Long Lost Footage of Presley To Be Revealed as Elvis confidantes participate
in Thane Dunn’s award winning “immersive Elvis experience” and benefit show.

Elvis fans in the GTA already had Thane Dunn’s exciting Elvis Rock and Gospel Show on
April 28th marked down in their calendars - but today’s announcement will have them
scrambling to make sure they have tickets.
Celebrity photographer John Rowlands, who worked closely with The King and took
many memorable photographs of him has revealed that the world hasn’t seen everything
he has on Elvis. During a recent move, while going through his personal archive of
negatives, slides, Super 8 movies and videos shot over his decades documenting rock
and roll’s biggest stars -- he “happened to find some short Super 8 movie reels of Elvis,
I shot with permission, in Buffalo on a 1972 short tour. The camera was Bauer
(made in Germany) and the optics are excellent.” Rowlands is having the film transferred
to video and it will be aired exclusively in Rowlands presentation at the Toronto show.
“Except for a couple of family showings,” says Rowlands, “this home movie has never
been seen. It’s an exciting flashback.”
They already knew it was going to be a night to remember - what with renowned celebrity
photographer John Rowlands (who took many photos of The King) and Bill Baize
(who performed with Elvis from 1971 til ‘76) joining award winning performer Thane Dunn
on stage, sharing their memories and stories of the real Elvis. Dunn, who presents an
exciting musical approximation, truly embodies what fans love most about Presley --
evidenced by his winning of the "World's Largest International Elvis tribute artist contest"
and the “World’s Largest Elvis Gospel Competition".” It has been said that “His portrayal
of Presley is eerily close onstage - and it's like he is channeling Elvis in front of your
very own eyes.”
And that’s no joke… Bill Baize, who spent years working with Elvis says “He is the closest
thing to
Elvis I’ve ever seen and if you never saw Elvis ….you need to see Thane Dunn!”
- and John Rowlands,
with his photographers eye and many years watching Elvis
perform
agrees: “He is a split second away
from the real Presley.”
Toronto audiences
will get a chance to see this amazing show for themselves at the “Elvis Rock and Roll
and Gospel show with Thane Dunn” on April 28 at the Church on the Queensway.
At the event, Thane Dunn and Bill Baize will also be presenting one lucky fan, contest
winner Patricia Neese, with a very special prize - a professionally mounted original
Elvis Presley autograph. Thane says, “I’m really excited to be giving away Elvis
Presley’s actual autograph! It’s beautifully mounted, and it comes with a certificate of
authenticity signed by Marty Lacker of the famed Elvis’ Memphis Mafia….and
John Rowlands- who photographed Elvis for RCA in the 70s! - will take our
pics together.”
To mark his Toronto performance debut, Dunn is donating 40% of the show's proceeds
to the Haven on the Queensway, an organization that feeds and clothes the homeless
and those less fortunate in the Greater Toronto area. For more info,
