STAYING IN TUNE WITH WIREWORLD ENTERTAINERS
AT THE 171st Peterborough Exhibition
Saturday AUG 6th, 2016
Number of changes to the exhibition programing, adding acoustic buskers to the entertainment lineup. They did well considering the seering heat, no shelter or shaded areas for busking performers and 3rd the accapella acoustics were over powered and drowned out by the loud, yet, happy screams of fairs goers and ride enthusiasts. Personally I loved the feel of years past at the Beer Tent, that had an all day long and sheltered stage.
Wire Megazine RISING STAR and multi awarded recipient, singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/actor/model and mentor, Nathan Jackson, once again kicked off the day, full of sheer energy and dedication to his passionate craft. Nathan gathered attention of the all age fans/patrons by singing from his heart. Follow Nathan's musical journey at www.artistecard.com/nathanjackson
A great day continued with busker style artists Five Mile Turn. Jeanne Thompson and Ken Tuck were full of smiles & inspiration, as they shared their originals outside the Beverage Building attracting and enticing fair goers of all ages to come inside for food and beverages & to escape the intense heat. Opening up Wireworld Entertainment Stage at 5pm was non other than our music trubadors and past Wire Megazine Awarded Duo of The Year, Rick and Gailie Trio, featuring Rick on vocals and guitar and wife Gailie Young on vocals and tamberine, along with bassist Rich Simpkins. Having entertained the masses for decades with their versions of the British Invasion & The Beatles and music from the 50-70s eras, they have been a 3 year staple on our stage, back by popular demand, a true crowd pleaser.
Jonny and Jane took the stage with their versions of Broadway to Blues, Bluegrass to Jazz, Country to Soul. Their voices were like a well oiled machine of perfect harmonies and extensive skills on guitar/resonator and keyboards. As a band they are known as Balls and Jane a 2 time nominated Wire Megazine Award blues band of the year; as well, Jane Archer is a 2 time Female Vocalist nominee and 1st time winner of the 2014 Female Vocalist of The Year with
